Caixa de Surpresas (2007)
Echoing in this box are eminently sociological themes such as race relations and prejudice, lament and protest against oppression, the struggle for civil rights, the memory of great promises and defeats. It is at the same time entertainment, but also communion between the artist and his audience, suffering and celebration. As Wytnon Marsalis said: “music celebrates... life – human life. All its scope, its absurdity, its ignorance, its greatness, its intelligence, its sexuality, its depth."
Arrústica (2009)
“Arrústica” can be defined as a mixture of different melodic, rhythmic, and harmonic elements from various musical genres. It aims to be a fusion of genres, a “sound cauldron” that seeks to promote, preserve, and awaken music without borders, referencing the universality of different cultural expressions.
eCLETRICa I - Galeria (2010)
The work GALERIA was born from my latest research in the field of improvised music, which resulted in seven new compositions. The great particularity of this work is that it was entirely conceived and written in score, that is, without any use of the instrument. The musical genre is subjective, however, it can be said that I will represent Jazz, the bassist Funk, and the drummer Rock. In this context, two types of improvisation will be explored; one based on written themes and the other free, without predefined structures, in which each participant is both composer and performer. Three discourses in a single voice!
Home (2017)
An album with strong electronic influences in which Loops and pre-defined Beats are included for the first time. Conceptual, this work is dedicated to "Home" and the importance of valuing it daily. All tracks are related to this theme, "Red Room", "Hall About", "Toilette", "The Kitchen", etc... This work also celebrates the acquisition of ZEPPA studios with the track "Garage 56".
eCLETRICa II - Ciclone (2019)
The fifth original album has a more pop sound, but as always, jazz, funk, and rock are still very present. Between beats and synthesized bass lines, this new cyclone includes the tenor saxophone in 5 of the 7 tracks. A true musical tornado.
Retrato (2021)
The work Retrato began to be created in March 2020, in the midst of the Covid19 pandemic. It is a vocalized album, with nine tracks, seven of which already existed in the instrumental version. They now appear with lyrics and new arrangements. This album includes 2 unreleased tracks, "Moliceiro" and "Retrato". The chosen vocalist was Maria João Cavadas, who did an absolutely fantastic job. It is a pop album but with the usual influences of Jazz, Funk, and World Music.
Prisma (2022)
The “prISma” project is an original trio composed of guitarist Pedro Morgado, bassist Issmat Khan, and drummer Carlos Santos. Influenced by various musical genres, they have Jazz Fusion as their main reference, highlighting their differences and similarities, valuing their specificities… Being a project of music open to new experiences and new paths, this trio explores various concepts of individual and collective composition, whose sound lives from the constant interaction and improvisation of the three group members.
Clover (2024)
It is an original album that integrates a totally acoustic, open sound in perfect symbiosis with the sounds of nature… Although it is not a pure improvised music album, solos are a constant in this work. The dialogue between simple melodies with a more complex harmonic approach contrasts with varied rhythms and meters, perfumed by elegant fingerpicking that evokes classical music.
